ETOGEM-BETA

ETOGEM-BETA is a combination medicine manufactured by Zoic Life Sciences. It is a clinically proven combination medication designed to manage anxiety disorders, panic attacks, stress-related symptoms, and hypertension associated with anxiety. It combines Etizolam, an anxiolytic agent, with Propranolol Hydrochloride, a non-selective beta-blocker, to provide both mental calmness and physical symptom control.

This dual-action formulation helps in relieving psychological tension, controlling palpitations, tremors, and sweating that often accompany anxiety. ETOGEM-BETA offers balanced relief for patients suffering from generalised anxiety disorders (GAD), situational anxiety, and stress-induced hypertension, improving overall well-being and emotional stability.

Mechanism of Action

The working mechanism of ETOGEM-BETA is as follows: 

• Etizolam (0.5 mg):
  Etizolam is a thienodiazepine derivative that acts on the GABA-A receptors in the brain, enhancing the inhibitory effects of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). This action produces anxiolytic, sedative, and muscle-relaxant effects, reducing nervous tension, restlessness, and insomnia associated with anxiety.
• Propranolol Hydrochloride (20 mg):
  Propranolol is a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker that works by reducing the action of adrenaline on the heart and blood vessels. It helps control physical symptoms of anxiety such as rapid heartbeat, trembling, and sweating. Additionally, it stabilises blood pressure and heart rate, making patients feel calmer and more in control during stressful situations.

Indications for Use

ETOGEM-BETA is indicated for the management of conditions such as :

• Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)
• Panic attacks and situational anxiety
• Performance anxiety (e.g., stage fright, examination stress)
• Stress-induced hypertension
• Palpitations and tremors related to anxiety
• Adjunct therapy in hypertension and tachycardia with an anxiety component

Dosage and Administration

The medicine must be taken as prescribed by the professional healthcare individual; self-medication or off-balance medication can give rise to unwanted and dangerous conditions. Some of the recommended doses are ; 

• One tablet once or twice daily, as directed by the physician.
