SALVUS | Dydrogesterone 10mg Tablets

Salvus is the brand name of the Dydrogesterone tablets manufactured by Zoic Life Sciences. It contains progestin which is a female hormone, This progestin is responsible for  regulating the menstrual cycles of the female body. It  initiates tha regular and natural growth.  For Female haveing menstrual irregularities caused by the lack of progesterone this medicine bring the normal and regular cycle of periods. 

Unlike other progesterone, dydrogesterone does not have androgenic or estrogenic activity, which create a favourable conditions to cure hormone-related conditions in women.

Indication for its use 

SALVUS | Dydrogesterone tablets is indicated for condition like :

• Secondary amenorrhea (absence of menstruation)
• Irregular menstrual cycles
• Dysmenorrhea (painful periods)
• Endometriosis
• Threatened or habitual miscarriage due to luteal insufficiency
• Premenstrual syndrome (PMS)
• Infertility due to luteal phase defects
• Hormone Replacement Therapy

Mechenism of Action 

In uterus Dydrogestrone binds with the progestrone receptor and creates a condition where it mimics like the naturally occurring progesterone and it  prepare the endometrium for implantation of the fertilized egg and maintaining a pregnancy. 

It also fullfills the hormonal deficiency , in menstrual disorder it balance the hormaonal need and restore the regular menstrual cycle.

Dosage and administratioon 

The dosages of SALVUS | Dydrogesterone tablets varies based on the condition it is treated for:

• Dysmenorrhea: In case of Dysmenorrhea it is recommended to take 10 mg twice daily from in a 5 to 25 days cycle of the medication.
• Irregular periods / PMS: Incase of irregular period the recommended dosage is 10 mg twice a day for 11 to 25 days.
• Endometriosis: for the treatment of Endometrosis it is recommened to takhe 10mg of tablet  twice or thrice a day 
• Threatened miscarriage: Initial dose 40 mg, then 10 mg every 8 hours until symptoms subside
• Habitual miscarriage: 10 mg twice daily until the 20th week of pregnancy
• Infertility due to luteal insufficiency: 10 mg daily from day 14 to 25 of the cycle
• HRT: 10 mg daily for 12 to 14 days of each 28-day cycle along with estrogen

• Headache
• Nausea
• Abominal pain or discomfort
• Breast tenderness
• Fatigue
• Breakthrough bleeding or spotting
• Allergic skin reactions (rare)

Precautions to be taken while using SALVUS | Dydrogesterone tablets

While using this medication we must follow some precaution while using this medication as it may cause any unwanted condition, so to avoid such condition and use the medication effectivel we must follow the  listed precaution:

• Do not use the medication if the patient is hypersensitivity to dydrogesterone or any component of the tablet.
• For patient having medical condition like Liver disorders, thromboembolic diseases, or undiagnosed vaginal bleeding use  this medication cautiously. 
• During the long term use , monitor the medication.
• It is generally considered safe suring pregnancy, but a doctors consult is impoiortant.
